What has been your overall experience at CCHS?

My overall experience has been great! It started off pretty rocky with the pandemic and hybrid learning, however, the CCHS community has been super resilient throughout and has managed to create the perfect atmosphere for learning, exploration, and fun!

What are your hobbies, interests, etc. / what is your favorite way to spend downtime?

I love being in nature, especially when I am walking my dogs, Tigs and Charlie. I also enjoy reading and crafting (sewing, crocheting, knitting). Additionally, I play the piano and am learning to play the guitar.

How do you feel about being a senior?

Honestly, just amazed. Going through high school felt like such a long process, but now that it’s almost over, I feel like it passed by ridiculously fast. I honestly can’t believe that just seven years ago, I graduated elementary school and was dreaming about these days, and just four years ago, I walked through these halls for the first time. It’s a time of transformation and change in which you are so ready to dive into the future but also want to cherish all of the amazing memories.

What’s the best thing about being a senior?

I love the responsibility and freedom that comes with being a senior. Teachers, and everyone else too, have a lot of trust in you to do what you have to do. There’s a lot more opportunity to build your own path and schedule around what works best for you which is great.

What plans do you have after graduating from CCHS?

I will be attending William and Mary and studying Biology with a minor in Public Health.

What’s your dream destination to travel to or where would you want to live?

I’ve lived in New England my whole life, so I really have no idea where I want to live in the future. I’m excited to move to Virginia to get a taste of a different region of the US.

What is the best lunch block or place to get lunch? If you got lunch from the school cafeteria, what was the best food you got?

The best food I got from the cafeteria was probably the Reuben Sandwich.

What advice and/or tips do you have for underclassmen?

My biggest tip for underclassmen is to not be afraid to ask for help or speak up. I wasted too much time being scared, and when I finally mustered up the courage to ask a teacher or classmate for help, I realized it wasn’t so scary after all. It’s easier said than done, but it’s worth it. Remember, the CCHS community is here to help and support you and your learning!

I could not live without…

My dogs!

I never thought I would…

Read e-books, but then I discovered the Sora app through the Learning Commons and started to love being able to read on the go or without having to stuff a book into my already too-heavy backpack.
