After receiving innumerable complaints about how long and exhausting the school year feels, administrators at CCHS have announced a “revolutionary” new academic calendar that they claim will completely redefine the student experience.
Previously, a normal school day at CCHS ran from 8:00 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. Students also received several breaks throughout the year, including winter break in December, February break, April vacation, and summer break from June to late August.
However, according to school officials, students were still somehow unhappy. The administrators reported that common complaints were “February break is too short,” “summer goes by too fast,” and “I’m tired all the time.”
As a result, CCHS has unveiled a completely redesigned schedule for the 2026-2027 school year.

Under the new system, students will attend school for two weeks and then receive a two-week break. This cycle will continue from September through May, followed by an extended summer break lasting from May until September.
The catch is that the school day itself has been “slightly adjusted.” Instead of running from 8:00 A.M. to 2:40 P.M., the new school day will now last from 6:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M.
Administrators insist the change is completely reasonable.
To accommodate the new schedule, athletics and extracurriculars will also undergo adjustments. Sports practices will now occur from 8:15 P.M. to 11:00 P.M., while clubs will meet between 4:30 A.M. and 5:30 A.M.
Students involved in multiple activities are reportedly encouraged to “simply stop sleeping.”
Teachers are also adjusting to the schedule. Several faculty members were reportedly seen calculating whether they would still technically live at home or simply become permanent residents of the building.
So, students, set your alarm clocks early and get ready for the new schedule! With fourteen-hour school days, midnight sports practices, and clubs beginning before sunrise, students are sure to finally achieve the perfect balance between academics, extracurriculars, and complete psychological insanity.
