Help Concord Carlisle High School’s Club, Thinker’s Agenda, in their goal to raise 500 cans for Open Table, a nonprofit food organization located in Maynard, MA. The organization’s “mission is to end hunger in our local community by providing healthy food in ways that respect the dignity and diversity of those served.”
The Thinker’s Club had a little fun with their puns, from posters that claimed it would be “SOUPer” if people could donate, to even displaying a massive visual of a can, asking the community, “CAN we do it 500n,” emphasizing the hope for five hundred cans to be raised to help people in need during this upcoming holiday season.
The donation box that resembles a turkey, and has affectionately been called Fredrick Jr. by the club, sits in the lobby of the main office near the learning commons and the art wing, awaiting anyone willing to come and “feed” him!
Beyond just general canned goods, Open Table is seeking specifically these items:
High Demand Foods:
- Vegetable Cooking Oil – 24 oz, 32 oz, or 40 oz bottles
- Ground Coffee – preferably ground or instant
- Tea (see below)
- Salt
- Sugar
- Flour
- Hearty Soups or Stews
*Due to food safety guidelines “bulk buy” bags not accepted.
Please consider donating today! If we all bring JUST ONE CAN, imagine the difference we could make!
