Concord, MA — In a display of unity and cultural celebration, the Class Government of Concord-Carlisle High School hosted the school’s annual Multicultural Food Fest on Tuesday, March 5th, from 5 to 6:30 pm. The event, which has become a favorite in the school’s calendar, showcased the rich variety of cultures represented within its student body, offering a culinary journey around the world.
From savory dishes to sweet delicacies, the festival transformed the school’s cafeteria into a bustling fair of flavors and aromas. Students, teachers, and community members alike gathered to indulge in an array of cuisines, each dish a testament to the unique heritage and traditions of its creators.
The festival featured an impressive lineup of culinary delights, including mouthwatering flan from Puerto Rico, freshly-made cannoli from Italy, cheese pancakes from Ukraine, and gimbap from Korea. For many students, the event served as a platform to share their cultural heritage with their peers and foster a sense of pride in their identity. In total, over 70 community members generously brought in food, and about 50 countries from all over the world were represented.
Beyond the delectable food, the festival also featured live performances showcasing the talents of CCHS’s diverse student body. Each musical performance reflected the unique cultural heritage of its performers, captivating the audience and further enhancing the cheerful atmosphere.
